RESTORATION OF A HISTORIC BALMAIN HOME

What started as a paint job - became a RESTORATION . A historic 1880's heritage home in Sydneys Balmain is given a total makeover - the beautiful lead light feature windows were not noticed with the dated old colours. Working on such a " mature lady " takes patience and finesse - which our crew had thankfully. Full replacement or restoration of all surfaces - Inside and Outside - including some windows and all window with new blinds. Access was the biggest issue - neighouring houses in this village are so close no scaffolding or sometimes even a ladder. We had to ask the neighbour " can our crew use your roof for a week to access the one side of the house ? " YES - a lovely village in one of the oldest parts of Sydney Australia. Loved this job - the owners very smart stylish couple, work in very creative endeavours. This however is a family home first and foremost, so all our decisions were practical and good for the younger members of the family too. That aside some new furniture was added with a beautiful mosaic low table with a copper base - ideal for snacks, homework etc and a round dining table and chairs plus some copper pendant lights. Fresh clean and family friendly. Loved collaborating with these clients plus every trade or service made the comment - " great couple ".
